A hobby that got out of control.
Josh and Adrienne started their business after helping their elderly neighbor mow her lawn when she was no longer able to do it herself. What began as a simple act of kindness soon sparked a bigger idea. Josh, who had always had an interest in business, saw an opportunity. With a teenage son eager to work outdoors, they decided to combine their efforts and launch Northern Rentals.
Originally starting as a hobby in 2017, the company offered lawn care and equipment rental services. Through hard work, word of mouth, and a strong commitment to quality, the business quickly began to grow. A major turning point came when they expanded by acquiring the lawn service division of another local company. With this renewed focus on lawn care, the company rebranded from Northern Rentals to Greenscape Services.
Since its establishment, the business has grown from a one-employee, single-division, seasonal operation into a thriving company with more than 30 employees serving residential and commercial clients year-round.
Despite its growth, it remains a family-oriented business at heart. Their main goal continues to be helping clients transform, maintain, and truly love their outdoor spaces.
